Badkhal Lake is a man-made lake created in 1947 by damming a valley between two Aravalli hills near Faridabad. It dried up around 2002 due to groundwater depletion and mining, but has been partially revived through a treated-water recharge project. The surrounding hills and Haryana Tourism complex make it a popular day-trip spot.
