Bhindawas Wildlife Sanctuary

Jhajjar, Haryana

Bhindawas Wildlife Sanctuary is the largest wetland in Haryana, formed around a bund that stores water from the Jawaharlal Nehru canal, and was designated a Ramsar site in 2021. More than 250 bird species, including migratory waterfowl and waders, use the roughly 412-hectare wetland through the year. Neelgai, jungle cat and jackal are also found around its margins.
