The Cantonment Church Tower on G.T. Road is the four-storey belfry of the former St James' Anglican church, founded in 1806 when Karnal was a British cantonment. When the cantonment shifted to Ambala around 1841 the church was dismantled, but the public-funded tower was left standing. It is listed by INTACH as a heritage monument.
