Chhilchhila (Seonthi) Wildlife Sanctuary is a compact wetland around a shallow embankment-fed lake, notified as a bird sanctuary in 1986. It serves as a staging and wintering ground for dozens of waterbird species, including the near-threatened Oriental darter and painted stork. It lies west of Kurukshetra city.
