This dera commemorates Sarsai Nath, a saint of the Nath (Shaivite) sect said to have meditated here, and is counted among Sirsa's oldest religious sites. By tradition the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan visited seeking blessings and endowed the shrine, adding a domed structure. It sits in the old core of Sirsa city near the historic Hisar Gate.
