This fortified complex was built in 1354 by Firoz Shah Tughlaq as the core of his new city, Hisar-e-Firoza. It includes the royal residence, a Diwan-e-Aam, a baradari with underground chambers, a hammam, a mosque and a reused Ashokan-era pillar. The site is a centrally protected monument under the Archaeological Survey of India.
