Established in 1959 by Swami Omanand Saraswati at the Gurukul Jhajjar (founded 1915), the Haryana Prantiya Puratatva Sangrahalaya is the largest archaeological museum in Haryana. Its collection spans ancient coins, terracotta, stone sculptures and inscriptions gathered from across northern India, including a noted set of 427 inscribed copper leaves. It sits on the outskirts of Jhajjar city.
