The Hathni Kund Barrage is a concrete barrage on the Yamuna on the eastern edge of Yamunanagar district, near the Himachal Pradesh border. Built between 1996 and 1999, it replaced the older Tajewala barrage and diverts water into the Western and Eastern Yamuna canals. Its riverine setting against the Shivaliks makes it a popular scenic stop.
