This samadhi at Saudhapur village marks the spot where Hem Chandra Vikramaditya, known as Hemu, was beheaded after the Second Battle of Panipat in 1556. Hemu, a Hindu general who had briefly held Delhi, is commemorated here at what was Akbar's camp site. It is a modest historical memorial associated with sixteenth-century Panipat.
