Jayanti Devi Temple is dedicated to the goddess of victory (Jayanti/Jainti Devi); tradition holds that the Pandavas prayed here for success against the Kauravas. The settlement Jaintapuri that grew around the shrine was in time corrupted to 'Jind', and the temple remains an active place of worship in the old town.
