The Kaithal Fort area preserves structures of the Bhai (Bhai Desu Singh) dynasty that ruled Kaithal State from 1767 to 1843, including Bhai ki Haveli and a domed three-storey stepwell (Bhai ki Baoli) built in lakhori brick. Portions were restored in 2016. The complex reflects Kaithal's Sikh-era princely history.
