Madhogarh Fort

Mahendragarh, Haryana

Madhogarh Fort stands atop a hill in the Aravalli range near Madhogarh village, reached from Satnali on the Mahendragarh-Satnali-Loharu highway. Built by Madho Singh I in the first half of the 18th century in Hindu Rajput architectural style, it features ramparts with guard towers, a palace, a garrison building and a stepwell. As one of only a handful of hill forts in Haryana, it is of special heritage value and offers wide views of the surrounding countryside.
