Mangar Bani is one of the last surviving natural forests of the Aravallis, protected for generations as a sacred grove around the Gudariya Das Baba shrine. It is also a major Paleolithic site, with rock shelters and cave paintings reported to date back tens of thousands of years. The area is an important biodiversity refuge within the Delhi-NCR leopard corridor.
