The temple of Mata Bhimeshwari Devi, affectionately called Beri Mata, is in the town of Beri and is tied in local legend to the Mahabharata, when Bhima is said to have carried the family goddess toward Kurukshetra. It is one of the most visited pilgrimage sites in Jhajjar district, especially during the Navratri fairs. Newly married couples traditionally seek the goddess's blessings here.
