The Ottu barrage, also called Ottu Head, is a masonry weir on the Ghaggar-Hakra river near Ottu village, about 12 km west of Sirsa. It impounds a large reservoir and feeds the Northern and Southern Ghaggar canals for irrigation. The waterbody and surrounding greenery make it a popular picnic and birdwatching spot, especially after the monsoon.
