The Saraswati Wildlife Sanctuary (Seonsar Forest), now managed as a conservation reserve, spreads over roughly 4,450 hectares of tropical deciduous forest in Kaithal district. It records over 250 resident and migratory bird species and shelters nilgai and spotted deer. It runs along the Pehowa-Cheeka-Patiala belt on the traditional course of the Saraswati.
