Shah Quli Khan, governor of Narnaul under Akbar, built this octagonal tomb for himself around 1574-75, using grey and red sandstone with marble detailing on a raised plinth. The adjoining Tripolia Darwaza, a triple-arched gateway constructed in 1589, served as the main entrance to his garden. Together they form one of Narnaul's finest Mughal monument groups.
