Topra Kalan is the original location of the famous Delhi-Topra Ashokan pillar, a Mauryan sandstone column moved to Delhi by Firoz Shah Tughlaq in the 14th century. The village has been developed as an Ashokan edicts archaeological park commemorating Emperor Ashoka, featuring a large Dharmachakra installation. It lies about 14 km west of Yamunanagar city.
